About Us

Welcome to John Arbon Textiles. My trusty partner, Juliet, and myself have had a whirlwind year.

Our Fibre Harvest yarn manufacturing project is flourishing here in Devon. We are happily producing a range of specialist environmentally friendly British made yarns, which we use to make our UK knitted range of socks, garments and household textiles.

Our shop at Coldharbour Mill working wool museum is a hub of yarn and textile activity. Based in Uffculme, this beautiful Edwardian Mill still functions today manufacturing small-scale, waterwheel-spun yarns and finished textiles.

In the next year we will concentrate on producing more specialist yarns, some from local breeds like the Exmoor Horn Sheep, and design a new range of socks. And, as always, take time to have stands at our favourite shows in the UK, including Woolfest (Cumbria), Wonderwool (Wales) and Country Living Xmas Fair (London).
