High Quality Socks, Textiles and Worsted Yarns Designed & Spun in Devon

BBC Countryfile TV

Sunday 24th January 2016

BBC Countryfile TV came to Devon to hear the story of how our John (Arbon) makes our Stanbury Walker socks from the fleeces of sheep reared by our local Lynton Farmer, John Stanbury, who the socks are named after.

The Countryfile team filmed Ellie's visits to both the Johns (at the farm and at the mill) and showed highlights during their BBC Countryfile TV programme on Sunday 24th January.

Our Stanbury Walkers are traditional walking socks … a cosy, hard-wearing sock with a cushion sole for extra comfort.

They are available in 3 adult sizes … 4-7, 8-10, 11-13 in 8 standard colours (and some limited edition colourways as well) @ £16.50 per pair.

To find out more or order please CLICK HERE and simply scroll down the page, select your size first, then colour and quantity, add them to the basket and checkout.

John Arbon Textiles & Fibre Harvest - British makers of unisex socks, yarns and fibres

As John Arbon Textiles we are a small family-run business, nestled in North Devon producing a wide range of luxury socks in the UK. Sister company, Fibre Harvest, uses traditional worsted machinery to process & spin fine quality British yarns ... one of only a handful of small scale Worsted Mills still operating in the UK.

Our production concept is simple – a return to the old style of textile manufacture ... sourcing raw fibre (locally wherever possible) & converting it in Britain into high quality hand knit yarns & the very sock yarn used to knit our luxury British made unisex socks.
