Saturday 18th February 2017
The Daily Telegraph came to Devon to hear the story of how our John (Arbon) makes our Stanbury Walker socks from the fleeces of sheep reared by our local Lynton Farmer, John Stanbury, who the socks are named after.
They came to our Mill where we make all our hand knit yarns and the very yarn that we use to knit our socks with. And they have written all about their visit in the Best of British section of the Telegraph magazine out with the newspaper on Saturday 18th February 2017.
Our Stanbury Walkers are traditional walking socks … a cosy, hard-wearing sock with a cushion sole for extra comfort.
They are available in 3 adult sizes … 4-7, 8-10, 11-13 in 8 standard colours (and some limited edition colourways as well) @ £16.50 per pair.

John Arbon Textiles & Fibre Harvest - British makers of unisex socks, yarns and fibres
As John Arbon Textiles we are a small family-run business, nestled in North Devon producing a wide range of luxury socks in the UK. Sister company, Fibre Harvest, uses traditional worsted machinery to process & spin fine quality British yarns ... one of only a handful of small scale Worsted Mills still operating in the UK.
Our production concept is simple – a return to the old style of textile manufacture ... sourcing raw fibre (locally wherever possible) & converting it in Britain into high quality hand knit yarns & the very sock yarn used to knit our luxury British made unisex socks.
