Loft Shawl 4-ply - by Fay Dashper-Hughes

£4.00

This pattern can either be crocheted or knitted, depending on your preference.

Loft is a slightly asymmetric shawl that is crocheted from the narrowest point, getting wider as you go. It’s an easy pattern that uses two simple stitches and series of colour changes to create definition and interest. This is a great on-the-go project as it’s easy to memorise and won’t boggle you. Inspired by a weekend away with lots of friends at Edinburgh Yarn Festival, the stripes represent the many flights of stairs to our city centre accommodation - The Loft.

The pattern structure is simple but effective and easy to memorise. It is worked sideways, starting at the smallest point, so your rows get longer as you work through the pattern.

John Arbon Textiles & Fibre Harvest - British makers of yarns and fibres

Welcome to John Arbon Textiles’ website, every page adorned with our luxury yarns & fibre tops, a fine array of woolly wonders.

We develop & make our yarns & tops at our specialist processing & spinning Mill, Fibre Harvest, a haven of enthusiasm & creativity, snug in the heart of North Devon.

The new Mill arrival, Italian cone winder (Gino) has settled in splendidly, whilst Gillian the skeiner (one of our oldest machines at over 100 years of age) has had are-vamp & is running smoother than ever.

Our latest yarn & tops range, Devonia, a beautiful blend of Devon fibres in 14 deep, mottled, irresistible shades, proudly features on the front cover of our latest catalogue.  And our KBN 4ply minis are welcomed into the fold - all 103 Knit By Numbers shades now available in baby 25g hanks, perfect for colour-work.

Throughout the last year Mill Membership numbers have increased monthly & we’re planning more special treats for the Mill Members’ secret web page in 2018.

The fabulous Mill team, led steadfastly by John, are Helena, Jack, Phil & Natasha; our Lynton shop & office, with Juliet at the helm, is run by Ginette, Judi & Natasha (again), whilst Frankie is our roving ambassador.

2018 sees our 4th Mill Open Weekend & Sale on 19th & 20th May, whilst we look forward to attending shows such as Unravel, Edinburgh Yarn Festival, Wonderwool, Woolfest, Fibre East & Yarndale.

Thanks to all our customers for your warm wholehearted support & encouragement.

All the best indeed

John & Juliet
