The stripe arrangement of the ERUCA socks was inspired by the patterning of a caterpillar – with every movement of a crawling caterpillar (ERUCA is the zoological term for caterpillar), the socks patterning changes from wide to narrow stripes keeping the knitting fun! These simple socks are worked cuff down in rounds in varying stripe sequences. Once the leg is completed stitches for the heel are knitted with a piece of waste yarn and placed on hold. As you continue working in the round, you’ll have a tube sock until you unravel this waste yarn and work your afterthought heel after foot and leg are completed.
With 14 sizes, these socks are not just for small feet, the pattern has eight kid sizes and six adult sizes, so everyone in your family can match!
