Flombre – a portmanteau of Flowers + Ombre – is a matching set of floral stranded colourwork accessories designed to celebrate the range of lights and darks present in petals and sunlight, and to maximise the ombre effects potential of gradient yarns.
This is the third of four designs published in the eBook KNITSONIK & Friends: Colour to Knit. There are four projects from four different designers for you to make, and each one comes with enabling resources designed to build your knowledge and experience of playing with colour in your knitting. Flombre is one of the projects from the book, and we have to admit, it’s our favourite! We adore the cherry blossom motif and the creative way gradients are used in these mitts, cowl, and hat.
