Masham Top

Like all lustre breeds, Masham fibre feels quite different to most sheep wool – it is not as bouncy as more common breeds, but what this fibre lacks in bounce it makes up for in drape and shine! These long lustrous British fibres are mainly ivory, with the occasional delicate fleck of black. Similar to Wensleydale it has a delicate halo, explained by the Masham breed being derived by crossing Wensleydale and Teeswater (another lustre breed).
