Off Shore is a wearable uni-sex hat and scarf set inspired by the textures and shapes of the harbour wall in Lynmouth, on the coast of North Devon. A simple stitch pattern compromised of knits and purls to create an interesting textured fabric. Double Moss stitch being the Gansey stitch of Appledore, I have incorporated that stitch with ladder like garter stitch to replicate the Devon stone walling and rusting metal ladders you can use to disembark your boat here in Lynmouth. The stripes of colour add a fun modern pop to an old and traditional style of knitting.
