Pandora’s Love – by Rebekka Mauser
Pandora’s Love is an homage to the musician, actor and artist Ian Dury. The fit of the vest in preppy retro style is relaxed and moderately cropped. The graphic slip stitch pattern is reminiscent of brickwork and is easy to memorize. The vest is worked bottom up seamlessly in rounds. After the hem ribbing is completed the contrasting color is added. When the body is long enough, front and back are worked flat separately to form the armholes. Decreases form the V-neck. The shoulders are shaped with short rows and the seams are closed with a 3-needle-bind-off. After the body is completed, stitches are picked up along the neck opening. The ribbed neck is worked flat and the ends need to be sewn to form the overlapping detail at the center of the V-neck. Stitches are picked up around the armholes to finish the sleeveless vest with ribbing.
