Construction Notes
These mitts are knitted in the round from the top down, with the thumb knitted separately first and then joined to the main mitt as you work. The optional flip top is knitted from picked up stitches on the mitt.
Needles
2.75mm needles for working small circumferences in the round (dpns or circular needles) – adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge
Notions
Stitch holder or spare circular needle, Tapestry needle, Stitch marker for marking start of round if desired, Mitten blockers (optional), 2 small buttons (for optional flip tops)

30 sts x 42 rows to 10 cm/ 4″ in stockinette stitch in the round after blocking
