Viola

£15.00

£15.00 per 100g hank

Our Viola yarn is a collaboration between inspirational Canadian hand-dyer, Emily Foden (Viola) and John Arbon. Emily uses her colour and hand dyeing expertise in a special process we call ‘dry dyeing’, creating a new colour range of double knit Merino through blending dyed tops. The result is a wonderful worsted spun yarn with the look of hand dyeing, but without the dirty fingers.

Composition: 100% organically farmed Merino

Yarn Specifications:

Double knit (100g hanks)
250 meters per 100 grams
24 stitches and 31 rows = 4"
3.5 mm needle
hand wash at low temperature with mild detergent

John Arbon Textiles & Fibre Harvest - British makers of unisex socks, yarns and fibres

As John Arbon Textiles we are a small family-run business, nestled in North Devon producing a wide range of luxury socks in the UK. Sister company, Fibre Harvest, uses traditional worsted machinery to process & spin fine quality British yarns ... one of only a handful of small scale Worsted Mills still operating in the UK.

Our production concept is simple – a return to the old style of textile manufacture ... sourcing raw fibre (locally wherever possible) & converting it in Britain into high quality hand knit yarns & the very sock yarn used to knit our luxury British made unisex socks.
