Meet our Brand-New Website!
Hello lovelies! By the time you are reading this, you might have noticed a few changes on these pages already: We launched a brand-new website!
We've worked on this project for months and months behind the scenes (a gigantic thank you to Becks who spearheaded it and spent countless hours to get everything up and running!) and are so happy to finally let it see the light of day. It was time for us to move to a different shop platform so that we could offer new products (like the digital version of the Annual), implement better functionality for taxes and tariffs, and create a digital home for John Arbon Textiles that feels in line with where we are at these days.
We're going to continue working on the website in the next few months, but in the meantime, feel free to take a peek around! If there's anything that you see that is not working, do send us an email (marketing@jarbon.com) - we've tested it extensively, but there's always a chance we have missed something.
Last, but not least, one small ask: If you have a customer account with us, you need to activate your new account on the website. This is especially important if you're a Mill Member as you need to be logged in to your account to get your discount! Keep an eye on your email inbox for the account activation email, and then click the link in it to activate your account.
For now, though, let's chat about a few new things this spiffy new website can do!
Digital Downloads
As I hinted at above, one of the things the new website is able to do is digital downloads! We know that a lot of you have been waiting for a digital version of the Annual, our in-house magazine, and with this, we're finally able to do this again. You can get the digital version of the Annual (issue five) now, and we're hoping to be able to offer the back issues in the future as well.
The new website also allowed us to include download codes for the digital version with every print copy! If you've received a print copy, head over to the inside of the cover, and then this link. Add one digital copy to your cart, and then enter the code that's printed inside your print copy when you checkout. This should give you 100% off the digital copy, and you'll get the PDF version straightaway into your inbox!
US Tariffs – Shipping with Delivered Duty Paid (DDP)
One of the best things the new website allows us to do is to implement shipping with DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to the US - so we're able to resume shipping to the US as of today!
"Delivered Duty Paid" means that our website automatically adds the 10% tariffs that have been implemented for goods from the UK to the US to your cart. You'll be able to pay them when you place your order and won't be facing any additional charges when you receive your parcel.
EU Orders – VAT included via IOSS
Up until now, our wonderful EU customers had to pay VAT upon receipt of their parcel. We're now able to charge VAT directly on our site, meaning that you don't have to pay any VAT or customs charges when you receive your order or wait for customs to clear your delivery! Our website now shows the price of the product including the appropriate VAT rate for your country.
Please note that this applies for all orders below EUR 150 – if your order value is above EUR 150, the VAT rate will not be charged on our website and you will have to pay it when you receive your order. We recommend placing several orders below EUR 150 instead of one big one if your order value is higher than EUR 150.
