Meiju’s newest book, ‘Entwined: Cables, Lace and Knitted Textures’ is a stunning read, and we are so excited that she created some of her beautiful samples in our yarn. Of course, we knew we had to create some kits for you folks, including the delightful ‘Fusion Scarf’.

Published by Laine, Meiju's book explores enchanting stitch patterns in 20 knitwear designs, from elegant sweaters and cosy cardigans to beautiful hats and shawls. The Fusion Scarf uses our Knit by Numbers DK to create this stunning undulating reversible cable pattern.

In the Fusion Scarf, two elements – cables and ribbing –are combined in a way that creates a unique whole: a reversible cable pattern. This results in two identical-looking sides that are, in fact, different – on one side, the cables twist in one direction, and on the other, they twist in the opposite direction. The reversible design makes the scarf effortlessly easy to drape around your neck.

Yarn Characteristics

Knit by Numbers DK: Knit by Numbers is inspired by the much-loved paint-by-numbers kits of our childhoods. With a colour palette of over 100 different shades it’s created by blending pre-dyed fibre tops with specific percentages of white, resulting in six tonal gradient shades per colour. The blend of Bluefaced Leicester and Merino is next-to-the-skin soft with great stitch definition and just the right amount of shine.

50% Bluefaced Leicester / 50% Falklands Merino

Care Instructions

We recommend that our yarns are gently washed before use as we don’t do any washing or conditioning after the yarns are spun and skeined. You’ll be amazed by how much the fibre blooms after a soak and it will certainly help you get a more accurate feel for gauge and character of the yarn over time.

Once your piece is finished, we recommend another hand wash before wet blocking the piece to the given dimensions. This will set all your stitches and guarantee that your garment looks its best.
