Alpaca Supreme

You may already have come across one of our favourite new yarns, Alpaca Supreme 4 Ply. It’s a blend of naturally coloured British Alpaca in Black, Brown and Fawn with Organic Falklands Merino and Mulberry Silk. We think we’ve hit the perfect balance between the weight and warmth of alpaca, light softness of merino and luster of silk. The finished yarn is warm, shiny, knits up like a dream and looks fab in stocking stitch as well as complex stitch patterns; in other words, we’re pretty pleased with ourselves.

Just because achieving this perfect fibre blend was not enough, we decided to offer a colour range as well. Each colour of Alpaca Supreme (black, brown and fawn) is available in 4 different blends ranging from dark, meaning more coloured alpaca, to light, meaning more merino. The fibre content in each colour is close enough that you can easily mix and match different colours in the same project, but results in a ombre colour range that works every which way!

Emily is currently knitting up a new shawl pattern using our black range. The knitting is almost finished and pattern should be available quite soon. For now, here is a sneaky look at the shawl in progress.
