Designing this Year’s MOW Special – Final Survey Results

You may have noticed that we’re mixing things up for this year’s Mill Open Weekend special by making you all honorary Mill Folk and inviting you to help us! We’re inviting you to give us a hand whipping up those specials, lending a hand picking everything from selecting the blend, to naming the shades. We created a series of surveys to help guide you through the steps. And happily, the results of the final survey are now ready. But first let’s have a bit of a recap of what has been selected already.

For the blend you chose a soft and lustrous blend of Corriedale, Grey Exmoor Blueface and Romney. This special will be majority Corriedale—no surprise there as it’s a gorgeously soft and bouncy fibre. We reckon it’s well suited to pretty much anything you might fancy making in it! You chose to blend the Corriedale with soft and lustrous Grey Exmoor Blueface and then accentuate the drape even more by adding a dash of Romney. Behind the scenes we have done a few test spins and cor blimey it is rather glorious, reckon you’re going to love it!

Composition: 75% Corriedale / 17% Grey Exmoor Blueface / 8% Romney
Spec: 4ply – 400m per 100g / also available as tops

Geology and Minerals was the winning theme. Here are the names you selected.

We love drawing on the natural world when creating themes for our ranges, so were thrilled when you selected Geology and Minerals as an inspiration for your chosen colour palette. So much possible inspiration with this theme  from a favourite pebble picked up on a beach  to the cliffs and formations which can be spotted the length and breadth of the UK. Thanking you kindly to all of you who suggested a name. We’re chuffed to announce that we now have some winning names – hurrah! Everyone who suggested a winning name will receive 300g of either yarn or tops of their choosing as a thank you. We’ll be in touch soon if that’s you, so keep an eye on your inbox. Thank you also to Lesley B for suggesting Minerology for the range name! Without further ado, we’d like to present you with this year’s Mill Open Weekend specials – love the names you folks have suggested!
