Top Tastic Fibre East

What a blast we had at Fibre East … we camped, got rained on and had a fabulous show.

As always, it was great to see everyone again and catch up with projects in the planning and just completed.

A lovely customer – Adrienne, who often visits our stand at shows, has finished her blanket that we have been longing to see for months!

A whopping 3.5 Kg worth of Knit By Numbers yarn was used to create this amazing piece!

It looks totally wonderful…

And what a Top Tastic Fibre East it was!

We took a couple of new tops to add to our ever-growing array:-

Toot Sweet … a brilliant, rich pink Merino with silk, whizzed up by Becky embracing her love of all things pink! Named after a Sweet from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, these lyrics from one of the film’s songs seems rather apt:

‘If you seek perfection in sugar confection,
well, there’s something new on the scene’

Toot Sweet

And Sycamore … the newest colour in the Merino / Zwartbles Top range – a luscious Greeny Brown. (Yes, we finally came up with a name we feel suited!)

Spinach

Both these Tops are available currently on the secret Mill Members page of our website and, if stocks allow, will be transferred to the regular TOPS pages (available to all) by the middle of August.

Our next outing is the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers 2015 Summer School at Moreton Morrell College, Warwickshire on the 22nd of August 2015
Booking is now closed for the summer school, however the Trade Fair will be open to Visitors and Summer School members alike for a day on Saturday 22nd August.
