Yarndale!
Fresh back from an action packed trip to Skipton, John and Juliet filled their Yarndale time with homemade pies, curry and (of course) loads of socks and yarn!
Our lovely tops were on display, as usual, featuring the Haslem Super Gill. James Haslem, our up-and-coming giller extraordinaire expertly prepared these, thus the Haslem Super Gill was born. It’s a soft and springy blend of Alpaca and our beloved Exmoor Horn.
John, hard at work weighing out tops. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!
The lovely Juliet taking a pause in front of Knit by Numbers. Even though I’ve spent lots of time surrounded by our KBN yarn, I still feel a rush of inspiration each time I contemplate the infinite colour combinations that are available!
The complete range of Alpaca Supreme, along with a brand new shawl design knit in the grey shades. Emily couldn’t resist the opportunity to take advantage of the naturally gradated colours….quite tempting to knit a shawl in the brown and fawn now as well…
Somehow, amidst the excitement and chaos of the show, John and Juliet found time to bake pies and go out for their traditional show curry.
We’re all a bit weary this week, but had a blast catching up with friends and meeting some fab crafters in Skipton. Already looking forward to next year (and planning our orders for curry night!)
