  • Beyond Measure

Inspired by the treasure found in antique sewing boxes, Beyond Measure is an utterly unique little shop for textile lovers!  All the goods are hand-picked by Grace, the owner, for quality, beauty, and longevity – future treasures to be passed on from one generation to the next.

Beautiful scissors, hand made leather cases, unique pincushions and tactile wooden tools can all be found here. You can also find gorgeous threads, pins, needles and notions that you never knew you needed!  Many of the items are made by small suppliers and craft makers for the UK and beyond – natural materials are used wherever possible. You can also find high quality needles and tools from Japan, as well as hard to find books and patterns from independent designers and publishers. And they ship worldwide!

Whether you sew, knit, embroider, or mend, they will have something that will take your fancy – we promise!

  • Gullrock Fibres

Gullrock Fibres is a natural dye studio in Devon run by Sinead who is passionate about combining her manufacturing engineering background with her love of materials, colour and texture.

The dye plants are gathered locally and supplemented with responsibly sourced dried plants and extracts. Many of her yarn bases are spun in Devon by John Arbon Textiles and are all nylon-free and non-superwash to retain their character and undergo as little processing as possible.

Sinead is thrilled to be part of a fibre community who care about their environment, the materials they use and who support each other in the sharing of knowledge and skills. She hopes you enjoy crafting with her fibres and produce treasured pieces which to be used for years to come.

Jule is the owner of "woollentwine fibrestudio", a small creative space all about botanical dyeing and natural yarns. She is passionate about creating naturally dyed yarns and fibres for crafters with a minimal ecological footprint, respecting our planets resources and focusing on sustainable production methods from sheep to skein.

She creates her custom yarn bases in collaboration with carefully selected spinning mills, always aiming to highlight the natural properties of different sheep breeds, before she then gets to add colour to them using plants and historic dyeing techniques in her studio in Northern Germany.
