Looking for a smaller satisfying project to keep you engaged, and give you a gorgeous result? You might want to try the cosy Barberry Hat. It’s worked up in snuggly Harvest Hues Worsted, in the round, from the bottom up. The ribbed brim is interspersed with fun cables, which then interlock and snake their way along the main fabric of the hat and end just before the crown shaping begins. All those cables make this a wonderfully captivating pattern to knit.

Length: 23 cm / 9 inches
Brim circumference: 47 cm / 18.5 inches
Designed to be worn with 5-10 cm / 2-4 inches negative ease.
Note: Due to the large cable repeat Barberry is only available in one size. However, you can always change the size by switching needles. Go down a needle size for a smaller hat and up a needle size for a larger one. This yarn is so bouncy, that is will easily accommodate the difference in gauge.

4.5mm (7UK / US7) knitting needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
3 stitch markers including 1 unique marker, cable needle, darning needle to sew in ends

22 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches over 2×2 rib worked in the round after blocking
25 sts x 29 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches over cable pattern worked in the round after blocking
