Knit By Numbers DK

£19.00 per 100g Skein

Introducing our Brand New 50% BFL /50% Merino blend of Knit by Numbers DK. We’re so excited to finally be able to offer this new base in all the shades!

We are passionate about trying to use as much UK grown fibre as possible (both to lower transport emissions and support our local wool growing industry) and adding 50% Bluefaced Leicester to our most popular range (KBN) is certainly helping us achieve that. BFL is the absolute softest of British breeds so this scrumptious new base is still soft enough to wear next to the skin (even in the most delicate areas), but also has a little more lustre and drape than the original blend. So so looking forward to hearing what you think of this update!

The innovative colour palette aims to provide the precise shade required. Each colour range is available in 6 shades – going from dark to light, and each colour is given a unique number reference, rather than a name, hence the range being called Knit By Numbers.

These DK skeins are 233m per 100g

Colour Tweaks
In addition to changing the blend, we’ve also taken the opportunity to make a few (for the most part very small) adjustments to the shades. Most notably, we’ve retired the old Yellow KBN49-54 and are introducing a new Sunshine Yellow KBN98-104. The old yellow was rather golden and orange in tone, and this new one is a more traditional yellow shade. This adjustment means that the Olive and Mustard gradients are ever so slightly different too.

And then the second tweak is that we’ve decided to make a few more shades (Burgundy, Grape and Orange) heathered, rather than the solid dyed shades. But once you step back from them they’re very similar to the originals…

We’ve had many of you asking for new shadecards, and so I’m sorry to let you know that these won’t be ready just yet. But please do know we’re working on them and they’ll be along at some stage in the not tooo distant future! Thanking you kindly for bearing with us.
