We just adore the versatility of a slipover, perfect to add that extra layer of warmth on the chilliest days of the year, but ideal to throw over a light shirt on a chilly summer’s eve too! This one has especially pulled on our heart strings – we’re always partial to a lovely bit of cabling and texture. The slipover is worked bottom up and in-the-round, starting from a rib-patterned hem that floats into the cable-patterns, the yarnovers, twisted stitches and cluster-stitches of the lower body.

The sample is worked in size 1.
Recommended 0 – 7.5 cm/0 – 3” of ease. For an oversized garment, you may work the size above, or even 2 sizes above.
Gauge
25 sts and 30 rounds/rows in double moss-st pattern = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”.
Needles
Size 3 mm/US2.5 for the ribbed hem, neck-edge and armhole edges. Size 3.5 mm/US4 for the main body.
