High Quality Tops and Worsted Yarns Designed & Spun in Devon Using Vintage Machinery
Join our Annual KCAL!
Our Annual (issue one) has been out for a few months now and we’re so thrilled with all your excitement and enthusiasm and support for this new venture. This publication is not only a nod to the Annuals of our childhood with articles on our Mill and activity pages, but also features four glorious exclusive patterns. So we thought what better way to kick off August than with a KCAL?! The Annual pattern designers will be joining us in hosting this over in our Ravelry Group (read on for more info and KCAL rules).
It has started to get rather chilly and a little rainy at the moment - Autumn is starting to peak over the horizon, so it feels like the ideal time to whip up a few woolly accessories.
We want to start by saying a massive woolly thank you to all of you who popped by our Mill Open Weekend a couple of weeks ago. It was such a joyous event with much laughter and nattering, 'tis always a real treat to open our doors and welcome you all inside our Mill! Tea and cake were scoffed, Tops and Yarns were fondled, Machines were admired and mountains of limited edition goodies were cooed over and taken home as souvenirs... We hope that all of you who were able to attend had as much fun as we did.
And, all us Mill folk had such a fab time that we have decided to do it all again next year ... so, for your diaries in case you fancy another visit, or want to experience our woolly home for the very first time: The next Mill Open Weekend dates are Sat 6th & Sun 7th June 2020
If you have seen us at a show in the past, then you'll definitely have met our gloriously giant wall of Knit by Numbers. This delicious rainbow of yarn is available in a whopping 109 shades from bright pops of colour and rich jewel tones to subtle mid tones and delicate pastel shades - and everything in between! Plus every colour is available as both 4ply and DK in either 100g skeins or 25g minis. And we've just launched four fab new KBN patterns today, so if you haven't tried this lovely bouncy organically farmed Falklands Merino yarn before, then this is the perfect opportunity to give it a go.
We have just come back from a fabulous weekend at Wonderwool where we chatted up a storm about all things woolly! Wonderwool is one of our favourite shows as we get to venture into the gorgeous Welsh countryside and see all you lovely people with your amazing creations, which never fail to impress us.
To add to the show excitement, there was also a veritable abundance of wildlife just outside our lodgings ... Nothing like waking up to the sound of frolicking bunny rabbits and a meandering stream.
We're terribly excited to be all packed and ready for this year's Edinburgh Yarn Fest. We'll be bringing oodles and oodles of Yarn, Tops & Patterns for your delectation. It is always such a joy to leave our little corner of Devon and meet so many wonderfully woolly folk!
