A new member of staff, and the excitment of Unravel

Hello and a very belated happy new year from John Arbon textiles!

We’ve been very busy in the New Year so far… and have a new member of staff join the Mill team … which is me, Frankie.
Hi! I’ve started working here at the John Arbon Textiles / Fibre Harvest Mill (after doing a stint of work experience here a few years ago) and I’ve certainly been kept on my toes…
We are busy preparing for Unravel in Farnham, Surrey, it’s going to be a gooden!
It’s been amazing so far processing the wools and seeing how it’s all done!
At the moment we’re preparing new batches of the Alpaca Supreme and Viola!

This is Viola before it gets onto the spinner looking weird and very unlike the finished product!

And this is the Alpaca Supreme looking scrumptious the other side of the Gill we call him Ralph which blends the fibres together.

I’ve also been doing lots of stuff on Facebook, Twitter and set up things on Instagram and Pintrest which gives you all an insight to what actually goes on here.

If you’re going to Unravel do come over and sniff and have a feel of our wools and tops and invent some fancy colour combinations for your next project! It’s going to be my first show so wish me luck! It’s very exciting!

Over and out for now!
