The Zwartbles sheep originates from Friesland in The Netherlands but is now widely farmed across Exmoor and the fibre, once shorn, is graded at our local British Wool grading station. It is naturally dark brown and we have created a tonal range by adding another local white sheep breed, the Exmoor Blueface, as a blend. Our Exmoor Zwartbles is spun in both 4ply and DK and produces a beautiful, voluminous, bouncy yarn.
These 4ply skeins are 400m per 100g

MORE INFO
Our Exmoor Zwartbles range comes in 100g skeins in both 4ply and DK yarn and is also available in 2 tops shades. Our Harvest Hues range has a percentage of Zwartbles in its blend too, therefore the 4ply count in both the Harvest Hues and Devon Zwartbles yarn ranges can be used together and will complement each other wonderfully.
