11 Days and counting!

Hi Folks!
With the Big Mill Sale fast approaching; 11 days and counting! We are coning, folding and skeining till the cows come home!


We are starting to polish our vintage machinery so they will be all shiny and looking their best and will be ready to show off for you! It’s going to be fab! And to cap it all its Mothers day on the Sunday! A day of mill-tastic yarn filled loveliness, and Dads will be content too with all the machinery and cogs and screws!

This is our newest yarn, ‘Excelite’ which is 100% British wool, made up of 70% Exmoor Blueface and 30% British Bluefaced Leicester. The Exmoor Blue Face is our local sheep so it’s very close to our hearts and to our back gardens! We think it’s great! It comes in 5 different shades and is a light 3 ply weight. All 5 colours will be available for the Big Mill Sale!
I have started to make a Fair Isle snood pattern with 3 colours of the yarn, the colours go really well together and it knits up beautifully! The pattern will be available for the Big Mill Sale!

One of the yarns causing a stir at the mill this week is a Zwarbles blend we are developing at the moment, you can’t help slobbering over it!
